We hope you had a wonderful Valentines Day! We were lucky enough to spend ours with not one, not two, but three very handsome men.
Chaki and Doobie, a dapper Pomeranian duo, and their dad, Maor Luz were kind enough to spend their Valentine's Day at the studio with us. He brought along a few pieces from his latest line of menswear. We loved his use of bold patterns and eye-catching colors.
Check out his amazing men's wear line at MaorLuz.com - you'll even find some cute fashion for your pup!
Chaki and Doobie already have their own fur coats, but sometimes they like to dress up so they can look like dad. Or, maybe dad didn’t get the memo.
Perhaps Maor was just trying to make our next guests feel a little more comfortable in their own skin...... Enter Kat Von D's cats Piaf, Poe, and Nietzsche! Here is an image of Piaf & Poe. Check out our next blog for more image of this stunning trio!
These hairless beauties, often referred to as sphinx cats due to their resemblance to the Egyptian statues, have a strange and mesmerizing elegance that we can't get enough of.
The Pharaohs of ancient Egypt used to fill their palaces with cats, honoring them as representatives of the goddess Bastet. After watching the grace with which these creatures move, it’s easy to understand the mythos behind them. Though these kitties don’t belong to Pharaohs, they do belong to the fabulous Kat von D, which we think makes them pretty darn cool! With pointed faces, bat-like ears, and large, searching eyes, Piaf, Nietzsche, and Poe explored every inch of the studio and didn’t hesitate to make themselves right at home.
And let’s not forget our star-studded afternoon with the dogs of Paws for Effect! We got to see just how much hard work and dedication goes into training a dog for the big screen.
The wonderful ladies from Paws for Effect couldn’t have been kinder, and their dogs were simply amazing. You might recognize some of these dogs from your favorite films, television shows and commercials!
Their trained animals have been seen in productions like A Dog's Way Home, Mr & Mrs Smith, Ocean's 11, Charlie's Angels, Pretty Little Liars, American Horror Story, Grey's Anatomy and so, so many more.
It was an entire day of spins, barks, jumps, and good old-fashioned adorableness in front of Charlie’s camera, and we can’t wait to have them back for their next visit. Until then, we’ll just have to satisfy ourselves with watching them on TV!
On Sunday, we spent the day at Bungalow 21 with our friends at Vanderpump Dogs and The Gentle Barn. The owner, Parris Noelle, has created a beautiful relaxing environment that blends a salon and day spa with a café and retail shop. Her vision is also to highlight local artist, so we were honored when asked to create a large-scale collage for the opening. We're so happy to have been a part of their grand opening celebration and to have met the amazing teams at Bungalow 21 and The Gentle Barn! Check out some snapshots from the day....
And before wrapping up, we have to share some photos from a recent shoot with three adorable pups - Sauerkraut, Fatty and Rootbeer, with their equally adorable owner, Jessica. It was a special moment capturing their interaction and love for each other.
Last, but certainly not least, we wanted to share a picture we took of a special Yorkie named Riley. We had the pleasure of meeting him and his mother this fall! We recently learned of his passing due to a tragic accident. We're sending her our love and prayers! Riley was such a huge part of the LA dog community and he will be greatly missed.
Until next week!
